Pedestrian Crossing Treatments
One of the goals of the city's Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is to provide a transportation system that emphasizes the role of walking as a primary mode of travel. This goal is supported by providing safe and efficient pedestrian crossing treatments.
This document assists staff with determining where it is appropriate to install pedestrian crossing treatments and what type of treatment to install.
- locations that have been evaluated and determined not to meet the criteria;
- locations that are still being evaluated; and

The Safe Streets Boulder report and its attachment, Countermeasures for High-collision Locations, provide information about pedestrian and bicycle accidents, as well as engineering, enforcement, and educational countermeasures the city is currently pursuing.
