Winter Walk and Bike Week

Winter Walk and Bike Week

Winter Walk and Bike Week Feb. 9-15, 2020

Get ready for the 11th annual Winter Walk and Bike Week!

During this week we encourage the whole community to walk and bike for all their daily trips – to work, to the bus, to school, to restaurants and bars, to grocery stores, everywhere!

Walking and bicycling is a great way to stay healthy both mentally and physically, and the more often we can choose sustainable transportation options, the more we do to help our environment.

Preparing for Winter Walking and Riding

If it snows, City of Boulder crews will begin plowing the major multiuse paths and on-street bike lanes at the same time as the major roadways. The Boulder Creek and Broadway paths are plowed first, followed by the Foothills Parkway path and then other city Greenways paths. University of Colorado Boulder facilities maintenance staff will remove snow from the section of the Broadway path between Baseline Road and University Avenue. All other multiuse paths will be maintained by the City of Boulder or adjacent property owner.
