Description:

Add a customized light-up touch to your bookshelf. In this workshop, you'll create a paper "book nook", a diorama that's designed to be the size of a thick book that usually includes decorative cut-outs and miniature design elements. In celebration of Electronics Studio at STUDIO 24, we'll learn how to add a simple circuit to your paper book nook so that you can add glowing LED lights to your diorama. No electronics experience is required for this workshop.

Electronics Studio

From April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone! Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics, we invite you to create, learn, and explore topics in electronics in a supportive and creative community space.

Electronics Maker-in-Residence:

Ayesha Wilson (she/her) is an Electrical Engineer in climate tech by day and a maker by night. She enjoys blending mixed media with electronics to create engaging projects for STEAM outreach. Ayesha loves showing beginners how to craft with electronics to improve accessibility to STEAM fields.
