The City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Department extends its gratitude to Jeff & Paige for partnering with the city over the last 20 years and helping us to inspire environmental education among thousands of Boulder-area youth.
Since its inception in 2005, Jeff & Paige’s “Meadow Music” summer concert series has been one of Open Space and Mountain Parks’ most popular nature and environmental educational programs and has helped kids develop a deep connection with nature, inspiring future generations of environmental stewards. The free concert series, supported by Open Space and Mountain Parks and Collaborative Nature-Based Climate Action (COOL) Boulder, fills Chautauqua Park in west Boulder with children’s laughter and kicks off with a kid-friendly, pre-concert hike for children and their families. Each hike explores a featured animal and a nature “color of the week.”
The City of Boulder invites parents and children to three remaining Meadow Music concerts on Monday, July 1; Monday, July 8; and Saturday, July 20. Before the Monday, July 8 concert, OSMP and Jeff and Paige extend a warm invitation to former Meadow Music concert attendees who are now “graduates” of the program, along with their families, to reconnect at a special alumni gathering.
The alumni event on Monday, July 8, is a chance for alumni to gather "open house style" (4 to 5 p.m.) before the main event to enjoy light refreshments, reminisce, request their favorite Jeff & Paige song from when they were little and capture memories with Jeff and Paige through photos. Please register if you plan to attend the July 8 alumni gathering. Learn more about Meadow Music and upcoming concerts.
“City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) thanks Jeff & Paige for their 20 years of dedication to entertain and educate children about nature and science,” said Dan Burke, director of the Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Department. “Their passion in making complex science and conservation topics accessible and fun has resonated within our community and Boulder-area families, helping us to create special family memories that will inspire future generations to appreciate and protect nature.”
