On June 1, 2025, at approximately 1:26 p.m., Boulder Police responded to an attack at the Pearl Street Mall involving participants of a peaceful event. The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, of El Paso County, was apprehended at the scene and faces multiple charges. Witnesses reported that Soliman used a makeshift flamethrower and threw incendiary devices into the crowd, shouting "Free Palestine" during the assault.
