Chautauqua North CAMP NPP Details

Four Important Things to Know:

  • The NPP regulations are in effect only on Saturdays and Sundays, only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and only from Saturday, May 25 to Monday, Sept. 2 (including all holidays during this time period). Parkers on streets in the Chautauqua North NPP zone must display a valid permit or pay-to-park. Parking can be paid via the ParkMobile and WayToPark smart phone apps, or at pay stations installed along Baseline Road.
  • Outside of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those Saturdays and Sundays, normal (free) public parking will be available in this NPP zone.
  • A parking permit is only required to park on the street. Vehicles parked in private driveways and garages do not require a permit.

Requirements:

  • Completed Application
  • Government Issued ID
  • Proof of Residency dated within the last 90 days: Utility bill, checking/savings account statement, renter’s insurance, property tax payment receipt, current lease signed by all parties.
  • Current Vehicle Registration: Applicant’s name must be on the registration. If the vehicle belongs to a parent/grandparent a written, signed, and notarized statement is required stating the name of the applicant as the primary driver and their relationship to the owner. This statement must include the owner’s name, address, phone number, license plate no. VIN, make/model of the vehicle. If it is a business vehicle, the statement must be on business letterhead.

* If the address associated with vehicle registration is the same as the address applying for the permit, no additional proof of residency is required.

Fees & Payment Methods:

  • $10 per vehicle, per calendar year and $5 per visitor permit
  • Accepted payments: cash, check, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. Checks payable to City of Boulder.
  • A $10 fee will be charged to replace any lost, damaged, or stolen permits.

Permit Display:

  • Permanently affix the resident permit to the interior lower left-hand corner of the windshield.
  • Remove the permit if vehicle is sold or transferred
  • Visitor and Guest Permits are hangtags and must be hung from the rear-view mirror with the zone name facing out, while the vehicle is in the zone. For safety, please remove when driving.

Permits Per Person:

  • Maximum of two vehicles per person.

Visitor Permits:

  • Two non-replaceable visitor permits are available per unit with the purchase of a permit.
  • Visitor passes are valid only while the visitor is on the residential premises.
  • Visitor passes shall not exceed 24 consecutive hours and are to be used within a one-block radius of the residence address.
  • Visitor passes may not be used by residents.

Guest Permits:

  • 2 two-week guest permits may be issued per year for use by house guests of the NPP permit holder.

Restrictions:

  • Vehicles with NPP permits are exempt from posted paid parking requirements in the zone.
  • Per city ordinance, vehicles parked on city streets must move at least every three days or may be considered abandoned.
  • Vehicles not displaying a valid permit 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays (May 25 – Sept. 2), including holidays, must pay for parking $2.50/hr (no time limit).
