The 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2024 Boulder County Community Celebrations is presented by the NAACP Boulder Branch, Second Baptist Church and the Museum of Boulder. The program will feature music, dance, and spoken word by talented youth and area performers.
Back by popular demand, you can expect an inspirational keynote address by Dr. Reiland Rabaka, founder and director of the Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Featured music will be offered by famed jazz pianist Purnell Steen and The Five Points Ambassadors, a band dedicated to playing and preserving the music of Denver’s legendary Five Points neighborhood. In addition, a well-deserved tribute to one of Boulder County’s Living Legends, Brenda Lyle, will conclude the stirring program.
