In light of the upcoming 2027 Sundance Film Festival, the city has developed draft regulations setting up review processes and standards for such events called “Special Festival Events.”

The proposed ordinance would:

  • Permit “Special Festival Events” in the land use code, as a newly defined use
  • Create standards for signs that may be erected for the duration of a special festival event, and
  • Update the city’s mobile food vehicle regulations pertaining to their operation during such events.
