Insider Travel Tip - The Fest Begins on Board.
The quickest, most convenient, and affordable way to the Sundance Film Festival is by taking transit. We've made it easy to get around without worrying about parking, navigating unfamiliar streets, or expensive car rentals and rideshares. Frequent service along the US 36, CO 119, and Arapahoe Avenue corridors connects Boulder with Denver, communities to the north, and destinations to the east, giving Festivalgoers an easy and affordable alternative to driving.
Along the way, you might find yourself riding beside filmmakers, actors, producers, journalists, and fellow Festivalgoers headed to the next screening. You never know where a conversation might lead. Some of the best Sundance Film Festival connections happen between destinations.
Arriving by Air - Flying to the Fest? We've Got You.
Whether you're arriving from New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, or another destination around the globe, we recommend the Regional Transportation District (RTD) airport coach bus service via routes AB1, AB2, and AB3 to Boulder.
With nearly around-the-clock service, the AB routes offer a convenient, affordable, and stress-free start to your Sundance Film Festival experience with travel times that are comparable to driving.

Driving to the Fest? We've got you there, too.
Park-n-Rides throughout the Front Range offer one of the easiest ways to access the Fest if you're coming from communities outside of Boulder. Park once and ride transit the rest of the way—it's the fastest, easiest, and most affordable way to get around during the Fest. To accommodate Festival audiences, transit agencies will expand service with increased capacity and more frequent departures on key routes, making it even easier to get to screenings and events without the hassle of driving and parking.
Paid parking is available in the city, too. Visit the map of public parking options. Most Festival venues do not have associated parking, making transit, walking, biking, and rideshares the easiest ways to move between screenings, events, and downtown destinations.
Whether you're using a Park-n-Ride or paid parking in Boulder, simply park once. From there, we've got you covered with convenient connections to all the places you want to go. Use the Transit app web-based trip planner to plan your bus, rideshare, e-bike, and e-scooter trips.
Need an Accessible Ride? However you travel, well get you there.
From accessible bus service to designated accessible parking, we're committed to creating a welcoming and easy-to-navigate Festival experience.
All local and regional buses are wheelchair accessible, equipped with ramps or lifts, designated priority seating, audible stop announcements, and are designed to support a comfortable ride.
Travel Like a Local.
In Boulder, we believe the journey matters. We're a community that values connection. That's what makes the Sundance Film Festival such a natural fit.
The Fest has always been about bringing people together to celebrate creativity, storytelling, and new ideas. Here, that experience extends beyond the theater doors, into the streets and during the ride.
A conversation that starts on the way to a venue could become part of your Sundance Film Festival story. So skip the drive and the rental car and travel like a local. On our streets, paths, and buses, you might find yourself beside a filmmaker, producer, journalist, or someone you've admired for years.
