Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)

Available to CO households who can meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Pay heating costs directly to utility company or to landlord
  • Earn at or less than 60% state median income for household size
  • Provide proof of lawful presence in US
  • Citizen household members or children can qualify if head of household is not citizen
If approved, households receive a one-time credit on their utility bill intended to buffer heating costs during cold weather months.
