  • Nature Play Opportunity

This small slice of short grass prairie is named in memory of Ann Armstrong, plant ecologist, City of Boulder staff member and volunteer. Ann devoted much of her life to learning and teaching about horticulture, native plants and the ecology of Colorado's Front Range ecosystems.

Ann Armstrong Park was previously named Alpine Park in April 1997 and renamed in memory Ann Armstrong in December 2008.

Nature Play Opportunities

Ann Armstrong Park provides children with a short and valuable educational experience about prairie dogs, their habitats, and their lives in urban environments. It is a fun stop during a walk around the neighborhood.
