The Open Space and Mountain Parks Campbell property is available for agricultural uses. The 56-acre Campbell property is located north /northwest of the intersection of Nebo Rd and 39th St.
City staff have elected to pursue a negotiated assignment of the Campbell property to Robert Lover. The proposed assignment of the Campbell property is intended to improve the viability of the Lover operation currently under agreement with the city. The properties currently leased by Robert Lover have very high prairie dog occupation rates causing losses in production and economic viability. While city staff have been removing prairie dogs and restoring agricultural land within his lease area since 2021, this assignment is needed for two years as prairie dog removal and restoration efforts progress. Staff will consider the opportunity to publicly offer the Campbell property after this two-year assignment.
You have the right to appeal staff’s recommendation to assign the Campbell property. You must do so in writing within five business days after the notice of property assignment is posted on the city website. All written appeals shall be delivered via e-mail to OSMPAgLeasing@bouldercolorado.gov. An appeal of the choice of assignment method shall briefly and succinctly state the reason why the decision is not consistent with the current OSMP guidelines (Agricultural Land Use Assignment Guidelines ).
