The Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Fort Chambers-Poor Farm property is available for agricultural use. The entire property is 113 acres, however only 37 acres are being considered for leasing for agricultural purposes. The property is located east of 63rd Street, south of Jay Road.
Open Space agricultural staff will be seeking competitive sealed proposals to identify the most qualified agricultural operation to steward the Fort Chambers-Poor Farm property. The Invitation for Proposals stating property management objectives and evaluation criteria will be published in early 2025. All competitive sealed proposals will be evaluated using OSMP Agricultural Land Use Assignment Guidelines. The Agricultural Land Use Assignment Guidelines can be found using this link or by contacting Open Space and Mountain Parks agricultural staff at OSMPAgLeasing@bouldercolorado.gov.
You have the right to appeal staff’s recommendation to assign the Andrus property. You must do so in writing within five business days after the notice of property assignment is posted on the city website. All written appeals shall be delivered via e-mail to OSMPAgLeasing@bouldercolorado.gov. An appeal of the choice of assignment method shall briefly and succinctly state the reason why the decision is not consistent with the current OSMP guidelines (Agricultural Land Use Assignment Guidelines).
