About Darren
Commander Darren Fladung is currently responsible for overseeing the Watch 2 and Watch 3 of our Patrol shifts.
Commander Fladung has been a police officer since 2005. He started his policing career working at the Lowry Police and Louisville Police departments. He has worked at the Boulder Police Department since 2013.
Throughout his career he has worked on all of the different shifts and been a detective both at BPD and on the regional Boulder County Drug Task Force. Commander Fladung is also an assistant Commander on the SWAT team, a lead Defensive Tactics instructor and an Officer Survival Instructor. Commander Fladung earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Regis University.
