About Jeremy

Commander Jeremy Frenzen is currently responsible for overseeing the Watch 2 shift of our Patrol Unit, which works from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Commander Frenzen has spent his entire police career at the Boulder Police Department since he was first hired in 2002.

He spent a great deal of his career working within the Investigations Unit where he was assigned to General Crimes, Robbery/Assault, and Major Crimes. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2019 where he spent time supervising Patrol, Investigations, and Property/Evidence. Commander Frenzen is also the department’s Peer Support Coordinator with a passion/desire to promote mental health and family wellness for the department members.

Commander Frenzen earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
