New Recreation Management Software

The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department is implementing SmartRec by Amilia, a new recreation management software and mobile app. SmartRec is designed to provide a more accessible, all-in-one user experience for community members to manage memberships and classes at all city recreation facilities. This software will officially launch on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, with the option to activate your account now.

How to Get Started

Verify Your Account

  • Existing members will receive an email from notifications@amilia.com to verify their account. Click on the link (Share My Account) and follow the prompts to create your Amilia username and password.

    OR

  • If you have not received an email, visit bouldercolorado.gov/smartrec and click the Activate your SmartRec by Amilia Account button.
  • Start shopping from the limited Fall menu options (Gymnastics Classes Holiday Special, Applications or Drop In Fitness Calendar), choose your interest, select Register for Session, then select the bottom line on the Log In "Don't Have an Account? Sign Up".

Begin

  • Begin early access to SmartRec by Amilia by registering for a few select fall programs or make court reservations (starting Nov. 7). On Nov. 14, members will be able to add memberships, punch passes and more to your account!
  • Be sure to set up your account well before December Program Registration, which begins Dec 2. Sign up for winter classes and programs beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Check out the Recreation Guide to plan your winter fitness and fun. Choose from dozens of classes and programs for people of all ages and abilities. Reserve your spot - classes fill quickly!
  • Online Registration

Download the Amilia App (Optional)

You have the option to download the Amilia app. If you choose to download the app, you’ll be able to easily access your account information, view your family’s schedule at a glance, register for activities, manage memberships and payments, and check in with your phone—all in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can verify your information the week of Monday, Nov. 3 - when you receive an 'activate my account' email. However, there is no deadline! If you verify your information before winter registration begins, you will be all set to quickly reserve your space in classes and programs. You will also have the opportunity to verify your information the first time you use the system.
