The TRG provides recommendations to the city manager on awarding affordable housing funds, including funds from the following sources: City of Boulder’s Affordable Housing Fund, City of Boulder’s Community Housing Assistance Program, and HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and provides direction and advice to city staff on other matters related to affordable housing funding.
The TRG shall be composed of no more than seven (7) members. With the exception of members who represent the community at large, members shall have professional experience relevant to the affordable housing industry and will include one commercial lender with experience financing residential projects, one realtor or other real estate professional with real estate sales experience, and two representatives of the community at large.
Representation on the committee shall reflect the make-up of the community. Economic, racial, gender, education and age diversity, among other characteristics, shall be considered in appointing committee members.
Members are not required to reside in the city of Boulder. Members shall be appointed to serve for one, five-year term, which may be renewed for an additional five-year term. Members may serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms. Terms shall be staggered to provide for regular turnover. Terms will end annually on May 31 and begin on June 1.
