The Open Comment Speaker List will be updated below by 5 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the Thursday City Council meeting. Please confirm the date on the list matches the meeting you intend to reference.
Please be advised that at the Feb. 6, 2025 meeting, City Council elected to no longer show presentations in chambers while the public is speaking. You remain welcome to provide Council directly with visual materials and can do so by bringing physical copies to the meeting for the City Clerk to distribute, or by uploading your presentation file through the online Contact Council and Staff form.

The June 5th meeting format is being changed out of an abundance of caution in the wake of Sunday’s attack on Pearl Street. Along with the format change, the meeting will open with a motion to suspend the public comment portion of tomorrow’s meeting agenda.
All participants who were scheduled to speak are being notified by the City Clerk’s Office. A link will be shared with them via email before the meeting begins. Participants should join the meeting at the beginning to hear if the motion passes. If the motion passes, there will be no public comment this week. If the motion fails, these participants will speak on June 5 as originally scheduled.
As always, the meeting will be live streamed on YouTube and on the city’s website. Boulder Comcast customers can also watch the meeting on television in high definition on channel 880 and in standard definition on channel 8.

More Information
Time for open comment on any subject not scheduled for public hearing is provided for at each regular business meeting of the council. Up to forty-five minutes is provided at the beginning of the meeting. During open comment, an individual speaker can speak for up to two minutes.
Sign up for speakers will be available via the internet, beginning at 8 a.m. the Friday prior to the meeting. Online sign up shall end at 2 p.m. on the day preceding a meeting, even if the day preceding a meeting is a holiday. No later than 5 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting or noon on the day of the meeting, if the day prior to the meeting is a city holiday, the city clerk shall post on the internet a list of no more than twenty individuals who will be invited to speak at the meeting.
With the June 20, 2024 update to the “Council Procedures” in affect, please be advised that with more than 20 people signing up to speak, the Clerk’s Office first identified and prioritized community members who DID NOT speak during open comment at the previous regular meeting. After the randomization process was completed, those individuals filled the 20 available speaking slots.
If there were open slots remaining, speakers who have been identified as having spoken at the prior meeting would be randomly chosen to fill any remaining slots.
