The Boulder community is invited to celebrate Winter Bike to Work Day on Friday, Feb. 9 by traveling on their bikes and enjoying free breakfast, giveaways, and events all month. Community members can pledge to ride for a chance to win prizes and to help the region measure the impact of biking and walking.

Free breakfast
Breakfast stations in Boulder will serve free food and drinks from 7-9 a.m.
Bike Home Happy Hours
Participants can also enjoy free appetizers from 3-6 p.m. and giveaways at the Bike Home Happy Hour at The Local, located at 2731 Iris Ave., Boulder, CO 80304. Community members who aren’t commuting to work can still celebrate by taking their bikes out for a ride or by taking a walk.
Classes and events
The community can join free biking and walking events hosted by the City of Boulder, Community Cycles, and Boulder Transportation Connections to celebrate and support winter commuting as part of Winter Walk and Bike Week, including:
- Jan. 31: Fix a Flat Class
- Feb. 7: Winter Bike Commuting Class
- Feb. 10: Boulder End-to-End Choose Your Own Adventure Ramble
- Feb. 14: Maintenance 101 Class
Event background
Winter Bike to Work Day is a statewide celebration hosted by Way to Go, a commuting program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments. The City of Boulder, Boulder Transportation Connections (BTC), Boulder County and Community Cycles partner to bring this signature community event to Boulder, including over 30 free breakfast stations in the county hosted by local companies and organizations in Boulder, Longmont, Superior, Niwot and Louisville. The event supports the City of Boulder’s Transportation Master Plan and Boulder County’s Transportation Master Plan goals.
