On Saturday, August 5, the City of Boulder hosted an open house to increase public awareness and seek public input about the upcoming Community Wildfire Protection Plan. Over 40 residents attended and were able to talk to a variety of subject matter experts about resilient landscapes, fire adapted communities, and safe and effective fire response. Conversations included forest management, grassland and ditch management, emergency alert and warning systems, emergency response, and mental health resiliency. Handouts were provided at all the tables, as well as opportunities to learn about the risk of wildfire and provide feedback regarding what recommendations and projects residents would support moving forward.
Spring 2026 Survey
The city is working with a national research firm, Probolsky Research, on a randomized and statistically valid survey to better understand community concerns and opinions about potential 2026 ballot measures. Boulder voters may receive a phone call, text or email to complete the survey, which will be available in both English and Spanish.
