Event Overview

The City of Boulder is exploring the formation of a Downtown Development Authority (DDA) - a special district that could provide long-term funding for public space improvements, business support, and community programs in our central business areas.

These information sessions will introduce what a DDA is, walk through the formation process, and present potential focus areas for community consideration.

Who Should Attend: The preliminary DDA study area covers Downtown Boulder, Alpine-Balsam, University Hill, and the stretch of Broadway connecting these areas. Business owners, property owners, and residents in this area are encouraged to attend.

Each session will include:

  • An overview of Downtown Development Authorities and the formation process
  • A presentation of potential DDA focus areas
  • An interactive activity where participants can weigh in on potential focus areas
