New Fire Station Location

In January 2019, the city closed on the purchase of two parcels of land located at 2875 and 2751 30th St. for the future home of the new fire station. The new location will enable Boulder Fire-Rescue to respond to the increased demand for service along the 30th Street corridor near Valmont and Pearl and will help the department improve response time in this area.

During this virtual community meeting, representatives from the Fire Department, Facilities Department, and the Architecture firm will provide information on the proposed Fire Station 3 project that will include the following:

  • Project Overview that will discuss the site plan, building design, and Bluff St. Extension
  • Discussion of the features of the proposed Community Room
  • Overall Project Schedule, including estimated construction timeframe

Boulder Fire-Rescue wants to know your thoughts and concerns on the proposed project whether they relate to construction impacts, how the facility will operate or other aspects.

Whether you are able to attend the live virtual presentation or not, you may submit any questions or comments by email to FAMCustomerService@BoulderColorado.gov to the attention of Adam Goldstone (City of Boulder Facilities Project Manager).

If you submit your comments by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, we will try to address them during the presentation on July 22. Otherwise, please submit all comments by 5 p.m. on August 6 so that the project team can review and respond prior to the next public hearing expected some time in August.
