Kate Fitzpatrick is a visual artist based in Colorado. A lifelong animal lover, she centers wildlife in her work and strives to create animal art that is beautiful and ethical. This means sourcing reference photos from wildlife photographers, using vegan art materials, and avoiding depictions of wild animals as second to humans. She also creates work in support of various animal sanctuaries.
As a muralist, she has been commissioned to create large scale works around Colorado since 2023. She has participated in various mural festivals including the Fort Collins Mural Project, Streetwise Arts Mural Festival, and Fraser Mountain Mural Festival. Her passion for mural art and her identity as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) led her to create the KissFist Mural Fest, a non-profit mural festival featuring artists from the deaf community. The KissFist Mural Fest is dedicated to celebrating Deaf culture through the arts, paying mural artists a fair wage, and creating a fun, family friendly event that is accessible to people with disabilities.
