Salberg Park’s playground contains rock and rope climbing structures, which emulate the natural environment and provide a structured nature play opportunity.
In 2024 the Salberg indoor building is under review for construction and renovation into a child care facility for elementary-age children (5 – 10 years) in Boulder. For this investment, the city has allocated a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act funding (COVID-19 relief funding), as part of our strategy to maintain or increase child care provider capacity in our community; and maintain or increase child care offerings for lower-income families in the wake of the pandemic. Project development and construction is anticipated in 2025.
The city Housing & Human Services Department will issue a Request for Proposal to recruit a child care provider for use of the facility.
