Boulder Police detectives have made an arrest in connection to a death investigation that began yesterday.

At approximately 5:55 a.m. on Friday, April 1, Dispatch received a medical call at that location for a person not conscious or not breathing. Officers arrived within minutes and found an adult individual deceased outside on the road. The victim suffered traumatic injuries. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will determine the exact cause and manner of death as well as identify the victim and notify the next of kin.
Good policework led to detectives identifying a suspect and shortly after midnight on Saturday, April 2, they arrested Alan Moody, 21, and charged him with vehicular homicide, a Class 4 felony, and Causing an Accident Involving Personal Death or Personal Injury, a Class 3 felony.
A mugshot can be obtained from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
