BOULDER, Colo. – On Friday, Nov. 7, Boulder Police arrested the identified suspect in the aggravated robbery and menacing that occurred on Thursday, Nov. 6. The suspect, Jesse James, a 34 year old male, of Boulder was contacted and arrested by officers late Friday evening. Prior to the arrest, officers found James’s property at a local encampment - the clothes identified in the robbery and a BB gun matching the description of the gun used.
The suspect, Jesse James, is being charged with:
- Aggravated robbery
- Felony menacing
- Carrying a concealed weapon
A previous press release described the incident as the below and asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect:
At approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, officers responded to the McGuckin Hardware at 2525 Arapahoe Ave. Employees reported the suspect was concealing items and then walked past the registers without paying. When they confronted him, he pulled out a gun. The employees backed away and the suspect walked out of the store.
