June 1 kicks off a month-long celebration of walking, biking and rolling in Boulder. Boulder Walk and Bike Month brings something new every year — with new events, routes and giveaways for all ages in 2025. Pledge to ride on Bike to Work Day for a chance to win prizes and help the region measure the impact of biking, walking and rolling. Local event highlights throughout the month include:
- June 1: B360 & B180 Circle Boulder by Bike. Kick off the month with a tour of Boulder from a bike seat, including a Boulder-esque scavenger hunt and a post-ride celebration featuring bike-themed games, trivia, e-bike and e-scooter test rides, and treats for the whole family.
- June 7: W180, Eastern Half of W360. A 180-degree adventure, this urban hike meanders through the eastern half of town.
- June 11: Boulder Bike Show. Bring your own unique bike or drop by for a show of Boulder’s most eclectic bikes. The show includes creative bike categories with prizes awarded as judged by the audience.
- June 14: Big Boulder Dog Walk. Bring your pup and join friendly dogs and their humans for doggy gift bags and a 2.4-mile leisurely trail walk at Boulder’s Cottonwood Trail. Dogs must be leashed or part of Boulder’s Voice and Sight Program.
- June 25: Walk and Bike to Work Day, the month’s signature event. Enjoy free breakfast stations across town. Organizations can still sign up to host a breakfast station.
Afterward, stop by the Bike to Work Day Happy Hour for free food and to learn more about transportation options available in Boulder from the city and community partners. - June 28: W360 Walk Around Boulder. An all-day, counterclockwise adventure around Boulder for people new to and familiar with walking routes around town, this slow marathon traverses a variety of walking surfaces in neighborhoods, parks and open space.
Some events require registration. Additional events include a library-themed parade, bicycle rodeos for children, public art walk and bike tours, walks and bike rides geared for older adults, fix-a-flat workshops, maintenance classes and more.
Over the years, Boulder has built a nationally recognized travel network where walking, biking taking the bus and rolling are part of everyday life in our community. As we continue to strive toward safe and comfortable travel for everyone, we invite people of all ages and abilities to celebrate with us and enjoy the full month of festivities during Walk and Bike Month!
