Life of a Snowgirl, Sleet Dreams and Lollaplowlooza are on snow duty this season

For the fifth year in a row, Boulder students named the city’s snowplow fleet. This winter, 17 winning names were selected to be featured on city snowplows. Name submissions featuring a “five” theme were encouraged this year to help celebrate the fifth consecutive year of the contest.

“Our team looks forward to seeing these submissions all year, and this year didn’t disappoint,” said City of Boulder Transportation Maintenance Senior Manager Rene Lopez. “Thanks to all the students who participated for their wonderful entries. We appreciate you being part of this important work and hope this contest helps make you feel more connected to your community.”
Pre-K through 12th grade students in Boulder were invited to craft and submit their favorite names for the city’s snowplows. Those who submitted winning names were given the opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named.
