This action is being taken out of an abundance of caution and to focus our first responder resources on the most vulnerable. Public safety and critical weather employees will report for duty and are prepared to help keep our community safe during the storm.
If you do not have to travel or be outside, please consider staying home until the storm passes.
Boulder Shelter for the Homeless is planning to implement its critical weather protocols to provide safe alternatives for unhoused individuals. More information about sheltering options can be found on the city's webpage on homelessness services.
The Boulder City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, will proceed according to schedule. Due to renovations underway in Council Chambers, all March 2024 council sessions are being held online. No change is expected for the Open Space Board of Trustees meeting and minimum wage engagement event, both of which are scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, March 13.
The city earlier today made the disappointing decision to cancel the City-Tribal Nation event scheduled for Thursday, March 14. Individuals who had registered for the event were notified of the cancellation by email.
