An adult male has been arrested in connection to stabbing.
BOULDER, Colo. – Boulder Police officers swiftly arrested an adult male yesterday in connection to a stabbing in the city.
At 3:06 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, officers received a call that a store employee at the Barnes & Noble at 2999 Pearl Street had been stabbed by an unknown male. Officers were on scene within one minute, searched the area, and swiftly arrested the suspect.
The initial information indicates that the suspect stole an item from the store and was confronted by the employee. During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed the employee and ran away. The 52-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later released.
The suspect has been identified as Scott Schwelling, 42, and charged with felony first degree assault.
