Joe Milek

Chief of Staff Joe Milek is responsible for managing services and activities of sworn and non-sworn personnel in all aspects of police operations. He will lead the police department in attaining the gold standard in public safety by establishing and maintaining accreditation through CALEA, the Commission on Accreditation Law Enforcement Agencies.

He joined the Police Department in 2021 as a civilian after serving in a sworn capacity at several professional law enforcement organizations at the executive level. He has a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Xavier University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati.
