The Office of Independent Police Monitor (IPM) is accepting art submissions from youth ages 18 and under to be featured in its 2024 annual report! Young artists are invited to showcase their creativity and talent by expressing what “Unity Through Accountability” looks like. Exploring the idea that police accountability can strengthen community-police relationships and foster unity, rather than division. Youth may paint, draw, illustrate, or use mixed media.

- First-prize winner receives:
- $100 Downtown Boulder gift card
- And will be featured as the cover of the 2024 Police Oversight Annual Report.
- Top contestants' art will be displayed at Gelato Boy, 1021 Pearl St., during Boulder Arts Week April 4 - 12.
- All contestants may be showcased on social media and community outreach materials.
- The contest is open to youth ages 18 and under who live or attend school in the City of Boulder.
Contest requires a signed permission slip by parent of guardian approval to participate. If age 18, you may sign for yourself.
2D Artwork must be original and 8.5 x 11 in.
Entry options:
- Entry can be scanned as high-resolution JPEG, PNG or PDF files and attached to the bottom of this entry form. If selected for display at Gelato Boy during Boulder Arts Week arrangements will need to be made to collect the original.
- In lieu of digital submission the art may be delivered in person to 1777 Broadway, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Entries must be received by March 21, 2025.
Submitting art in the contest grants IPM artwork/copyright in full.
Artwork will be unaltered and publicly attributed to the artist with their age.
