  • You are submitting an application for a Short-Term Rental license - rentals of 29 days or less

Application Fees

  • New short-term rental application $215
    • Rental license application fee is $190
    • New short-term rental applications require a business license fee of $25
  • Renewal short-term rental application $190
    • Business license fee is not required for renewals

Email Notification

  • An email notification with instructions for next steps will be sent within two weeks
    • Next steps include requests for additional information and online payment in our Customer Self Service Portal

License Requirements

  • A valid rental license must be issued before the property can be offered, advertised or rented.
  • The property must be the applicant’s principal residence:

    • The property must meet the full definition of Principal Residence.

    • Proof of principal residence is required and shall be a Colorado Driver’s license or identification card showing the property address.

  • Properties with an ADU are not eligible for Short-Term rental. 10-3-19 (o)

  • The property cannot be a permanently affordable unit.

  • The property owner must be a natural person, a trust, or a non-profit organization

    • Ownership may not be in an LLC, corporation, or limited partnership to qualify.

  • The applicant must hold at least 50% ownership of the property.

  • Once issued, Short-Term Rental License holders must submit the Short-Term Annual Affidavit to certify principal residence and pay the associated fee. Failure to complete this annual requirement will result in revocation of your rental license.
