Recent Opportunities

  • The Boulder Chamber, in collaboration with Boulder County Arts Alliance, seeks to commission a professional local artist, illustrator or designer to create an original image that it can license for the 2026 Boulder Star Holiday Card, and possibly other items, such as a puzzle produced by Liberty Puzzles and a wine. The selected artist will receive $1,000 under a license agreement to produce an image reflecting Boulder, with fresh takes on its iconic imagery encouraged. Applications close Jan. 30. Learn more!
  • Control Group Productions is seeking a dynamic, values-aligned new team member able to share their story with the public and gather the Colorado community around its activities and initiatives. Learn more and apply.
  • The Voices of the Wilderness artist residency program is open for applications. Artists of all mediums are welcome to apply. Applications should be submitted to grace.corrigan@usda.gov by 11:59 p.m. Alaska time March 2, 2026.

  • The Denver Public Art Program has several open opportunities for artists. Learn more about the open calls and apply.
  • The City of Louisville is seeking an artist or team of artists to design and install a sculpture that celebrates the life and accomplishments of Mary Trebing. In the context of Colorado’s 150th anniversary in 2026, this public art installation also aims to celebrate the diversity and rich cultural history of Louisville’s community. The budget for the commission is up to $30,000 and applications are due Jan. 8.
  • Submissions are now open for the 2026 Sundance Institute Ignite x Adobe Fellowship application. Artists selected for the Fellowship will receive mentorship, build their creative cohort, gain access to a complimentary Adobe Creative Cloud 12-month membership (conditions apply), and more. Entry is free. Apply by Feb. 12.
