- Calling all creatives! Boulder Public Library District’s annual Open Call for Exhibitions runs from Aug. 1 - 31, offering artists and community members the opportunity to share their work across six exhibition spaces throughout the library district.
- Street Wise Arts Emerging Artist Mentorship Program is open for applications now through Aug. 17, 2026. Selected mentees will be paired with experienced Mural Festival artists to participate in a series of one-on-one mentorship sessions leading up to and during the 2026 Superior Mural Festival. - The Lost Bluebird Mercantile and Coffee is opening late August in Longmont, and will feature work from independent artists, be the home of the Bluebird Music Festival merch store, host free Bluebird School classes, and have an espresso bar. - The Boulder County Climate Equity Fund is a grant program designed to support frontline communities, and others most impacted by the climate crisis, by enabling grassroots leaders to design and implement community-led climate action initiatives. The fund will distribute up to $2 million in 2026. The 2026 Climate Equity Fund is now open and will close on Aug. 31, 2026, at 5 p.m.
- For the first time, Boulder Ballet is holding a public audition for The Nutcracker. Any dancer outside the BBS community is welcome to join this year's audition on Sunday, Aug. 23. Learn more and register to audition.
- Free Non-Profit Tabling During the Boulder Roots Music Festival: Friday, August 28 - Sunday, August 30. Boulder Roots Music Festival is reserving complimentary 10x10 spaces on the 1300 block of Pearl Street for local nonprofits to set up and engage directly with festival attendees. Participating organizations are asked to bring their own tent and table. Space is limited - if you would like to be involved, please apply.
