What to expect

Learn about the project and share your feedback!

City staff will share project information and learnings from the community gathered through engagement activities this summer, including pop-up events and a previous online questionnaire. Additional community input is welcome. The city's community engagement partner, Growing Up Boulder, will also provide a summary of feedback shared by kids in Boulder.

Community members are welcome to drop in at any time during the open house. Children’s activities are available for families. Participants are encouraged to walk, bike or take transit to the event. Bike racks and limited parking are available.

“So far this summer, we've heard from over 1,100 people about how they travel along and across Iris every day. We heard what people like and don’t like, and their ideas for how to improve travel in the future,” said Senior Transportation Planner Ericka Amador. “We’re thrilled so many people are interested in making Iris better. When they share these experiences, it helps us understand how we can best work toward transportation improvements for our community.”

Can't attend?

From Oct. 24-Nov. 8, those who cannot attend the open house are invited to visit Be Heard Boulder to watch the virtual open house recording and provide their input via a short online questionnaire.

Project design will not begin until 2024, after initial data and community feedback, including comments from the open house, are analyzed. This project is part of the Core Arterial Network (CAN), a Boulder City Council’s priority initiative. Learn more on the project webpage.
