Join us for a dedication ceremony to welcome Unfolding by artist Sharon Dowell into the Boulder Public Art Collection on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the bridge near the new North Boulder Public Library. The event will offer the public a chance to meet the artist, ask questions about the work and learn more about the City of Boulder’s public art program.
As part of a series of enhancements being made to the North Boulder neighborhood, the city commissioned new artwork at two bus shelters along north Broadway Ave., at the bridge over the bike lanes near Rosewood Ave., and at the bus stop/gateway railing at Violet Ave.
Artist Sharon Dowell, from Charlotte, North Carolina, used designs for the shelters that celebrate the artists and flourishing creative environment in NoBo. These brightly colored artworks, commissioned in 2019, will announce entry into North Boulder and the North Boulder Art District.
