Getting to Boulder Open Space

Parking options vary by trailhead. Some trailheads have parking lots, while others have limited street parking or no parking. Check the trailhead information and trailhead cameras before you go.

• Park only in designated parking areas.
• Never block emergency access, fire lanes, pedestrian gates, driveways or horse-trailer spaces.
• Do not park on roadways or where signs prohibit parking. Vehicles that block access or are parked illegally may be ticketed or towed.
• Some trailheads require a parking permit for vehicles not registered in Boulder County.
• If you park in a nearby neighborhood, be respectful of residents. Do not block driveways, access roads or private property.

• Several OSMP trailheads are accessible by bus.

• Shuttles can make it easier to reach some popular trailheads, especially during busy seasons. Service and schedules vary throughout the year, so check each shuttle's website before you go.
  • Eldo Shuttle: The free Eldo Shuttle connects Boulder and Eldorado Canyon State Park with the Marshall Mesa, Doudy Draw and South Mesa trailheads on weekends and holidays during the summer and fall.
  • Park to Park Shuttle: Park-to-Park provides free satellite parking and shuttle service to and from Chautauqua Park on summer weekends and holidays.

Many OSMP trailheads are accessible by bike, e-bike or other forms of micromobility. Bike racks are available at most trailheads so you can park your bike while you explore.

Shared bikes and scooters in Boulder

• Lime scooters and Bcycle e-bikes can be ridden to trailheads, but they are not allowed on OSMP trails. Park shared bikes and scooters only in designated areas.
