Park-to-Park free shuttle to Chautauqua program

The Park-to-Park shuttle provides satellite parking and free shuttle service to and from the beautiful and popular Chautauqua Park on summer weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

The 2025 Park-to-Park season runs from Saturday, May 24 to Monday, Sept. 1, 2025.

Park-to-Park provides free satellite parking and shuttle service to and from Chautauqua Park on summer weekends and holidays.

Park-to-Park is part of the City of Boulder Chautauqua Access Management Program, which seeks to better manage access to the park while minimizing impacts to the neighborhood and the area’s natural and cultural resources. Park-to-Park also includes paid parking on summer weekends and holidays at Chautauqua and nearby neighborhood streets to help pay for the shuttles, as well as ambassadors to assist visitors.

Schedule

The Park-to-Park shuttle operates on summer weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend in late May to Labor Day weekend in early September. The free shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays only. Paid parking in and around Chautauqua Park is also in effect on weekends and holidays only.

2025 Schedule

For 2025, the shuttle will run from Saturday, May 24 through Monday, September 1 on weekends and holidays. The holidays for shuttle service are Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Shuttle frequencies

  • For real-time shuttle schedule and information download the Transit app.
  • The Park-to-Park shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on summer weekends and holidays.
  • The shuttle only runs in the summer. During fall, winter and spring, there is no shuttle or satellite parking service, and parking is free at Chautauqua.

Shuttle pickup stops

  • The shuttle picks up riders at several stops around Boulder as well as from the New Vista High School Parking lot (700 20th St.), the CU Boulder Regent parking lot (Lot 306 and 308 at Regent Drive just east of Broadway) and the downtown Boulder parking garages.
  • Since 2024, the shuttle route travels along Broadway instead of 9th Street and features new stops closer to the Chautauqua trailhead and Chautauqua Dining Hall.

Parking

  1. Free Parking

    Free parking is available at downtown Boulder parking garages and at satellite parking lots at New Vista High School (700 20th Street) and the CU Boulder Regent parking lot (Lot 306 and 308 at Regent Drive just east of Broadway).

    • Repair and improvement projects in our downtown garages are ongoing and will continue into 2025. Please expect some noise, dust and for parking areas to be closed off from time to time.
    • Please note that the CU Boulder Regent parking lot will not be available on May 26, July 4 and July 5 due to special events in the area.
  2. Paid Parking
    • Paid parking at Chautauqua is required on weekends and summer holidays.
    • Parking costs $2.50/hour. Pay at pay stations or via the ParkMobile app.
    • Parking is free during the weekdays, the fall, winter and spring.

Accessibility, Bikes and Strollers

  • City garage parking, satellite lots and all Park-to-Park shuttles are ADA-accessible for people using wheelchairs. Free ADA-accessible parking is also available at Chautauqua Park in the Ranger Cottage lot and around the Chautauqua Park green parking area.
  • Shuttles feature bike racks. Dogs, strollers and hiking gear are also welcome aboard.

Parking revenue helps pay for Park-to-Park. The shuttle is operated by Via Mobility Services.

Please note that the Park-to-Park shuttle is a separate service from the HOP 2 Chautauqua shuttle. The HOP 2 Chautauqua is a free transit service to the Colorado Music Festival and Chautauqua Summer Series events and is operated by the Colorado Chautauqua Association.
