Admiral Arleigh A. Burke Park is a neighborhood park located adjacent to Horizons K-8 featuring Thunderbird Lake, a playground, basketball court, and open turf with berms for unstructured play. The playground and basketball court are available for public use outside of school hours. Slacklining is allowed.

The City of Boulder reminds residents and open space and parks visitors to exercise caution when sustained high temperatures increase the risk of potentially harmful algae blooms at city lakes and ponds.

Nature Play Opportunities

Children are able to observe and explore the lake at designated access points, learn in the outdoor classrooms, and play creatively in the open turf with berms.
