About the Skate Park
The Boulder Skate Park is an unsupervised, skate-at-your-own-risk facility, open from dawn to dusk. Know your ability and skate accordingly. BMX bike hours are from 7 to 10 a.m. daily.
The skate park features an exciting "street-course" with the lure of rails, curbs and free-flowing forms and bowls. The skate park is free and open for skateboarders and in-line skaters. Helmets and pads are highly recommended. Hours are dawn to dusk.
The skate park was designed by Shapins Associates and Michael McIntyre, RLA/ASLA, an experienced skateboarder and nationally known skate park architect. In addition, Boulder skaters helped with design work. The Parks and Recreation Department funded part of the project.
Additional funds have been sought through partnerships, sponsorships, and grants. The Boulder Valley YMCA will continue to be an operating partner for the Skate Park. If you would like more information on the skate park advisory committee, call the YMCA at 303-442-2778.
