Attempted Sexual Assault/Robbery Investigation Continues
BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a man who grabbed a woman and stole her headphones earlier this month.
On Thursday, July 4, between 6:15 and 6:25 p.m., the adult female was walking southbound on the west Boulder Creek Path in the 700 block of Baseline when an unknown man grabbed her from behind and took her headphones.
The woman fought back, using pepper spray and biting the man’s hand, possibly causing a significant injury to one of his fingers, possibly on his right hand. She then ran to a nearby fire station for help.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 30 to 40 years old and about 5’8” to 5’9” tall. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or gray shirt and had long brown or black hair. If you see someone matching this description or with a set of silver/gray Bose headphones, please call police.
The headphones look like the ones in this photo and the crime occurred in the area seen in this map.
This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or Detective Starks at StarksE@bouldercolorado.gov or 303-441-3067 reference case 24-6499. You can remain anonymous and are eligible to earn a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
