Boulder Fire-Rescue and Boulder Police Respond to Fire; Suspect Cited for Arson
BOULDER, Colo. – Boulder Fire-Rescue and Boulder Police responded to a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. today reporting smoke by a storage facility near open space in the area of Yellow Pine Avenue and Tenth Street.
Crews arrived on scene and quickly contained the fire, which was fully extinguished by 2:11 p.m. No injuries were reported and no evacuation orders were issued. The fire started in the field and there was minor damage to the back of the storage facility.
Boulder Police issued Jeffrey Guggenmos, age 51, of no fixed address, a ticket for 4th degree arson.
Boulder Fire-Rescue and the Boulder Police Department would like to thank Boulder Rural Fire Rescue and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office for their speedy assistance with this fire.
As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
