Boulder Police Arrest Suspect in Downtown Stabbing
BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department made a swift arrest after being called to a stabbing downtown this afternoon.
At approximately 12:20 p.m. today, officers received a report that a man stabbed another man during an argument outside the city’s municipal building in the 1700 block of Broadway. The suspect was pepper sprayed by someone during the fight. Officers were on scene in less than a minute since they were on foot patrol nearby.
Officers quickly applied a tourniquet as a life-saving measure before Boulder Fire-Rescue arrived on scene and administered medical aid to the victim before taking him to the hospital. The victim’s injuries are serious and he’s currently in surgery.
Witnesses identified the possible suspect and officers found him a few minutes later in Central Park and took him into custody. Charges are pending.
