Boulder Police Investigating Fatal Traffic Crash

All City of Boulder administrative facilities and Age Well Centers will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, for the Veterans Day holiday. Some facilities and services will be open.
BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department is investigating a fatal crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred this morning.
At approximately 9:18 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, officers were called to the intersection of Broadway and Alpine Avenue for a report of a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian. A 2022 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling south on Broadway and turning left/east onto Alpine when the driver struck a woman who was walking north across Alpine in the crosswalk.
The 90-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died of her injuries this afternoon.
The 35-year-old female driver was not injured and remained on scene. Two children in her car were uninjured. There were no initial indications of driver speed or impairment being a factor in the crash.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and notify the next of kin.
