Boulder Police Investigating Fatal Traffic Crash on Broadway

In observance of the winter holidays, the City of Boulder is adjusting its operations schedules.

The Boulder Police Department is investigating a fatal crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred this morning that previously had all northbound lanes of Broadway closed at Ash Ave.
At approximately 4:58 a.m. on Friday, September 27, officers were called north of the intersection of Broadway and Rayleigh Road for a report of a crash that involved a car and a pedestrian. A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling north on Broadway when the driver struck a woman north of the crosswalk.
Tragically, the 38 year old woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 27 year old male driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police. There were no initial indications of driver speed or impairment being a factor in the crash.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and notify the next of kin.
