Community advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 15, the City of Boulder will replace traffic signal poles at two intersections on Baseline Road: Baseline Road and 17th Street, as well as Baseline Road and 20th Street. The project is anticipated to take two weeks. During this time, intersections will function as four-way stops, which may result in noticeable delays.
Commuters are strongly advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays on Baseline Road and 17th and 20th streets. In addition to the temporary four-way stops, impacts may include:
Partial lane closures
Sidewalk impacts at intersections, including closures
Noise due to construction equipment. Noise impacts will be limited to daytime hours between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
These efforts are part of the city's commitment to maintaining safe transportation infrastructure. Find all city traffic impacts on Cone Zones and learn more on the city’s Transportation Maintenance webpage.
