Report highlights 2024 outcomes, services and initiatives.
The city has released the 2024 Older Adult Services Annual Report. Older Adult Services (OAS) aims to inspire and empower older adults to age well through community connection, learning and play. OAS provides a continuum of services from health and wellness to lifelong learning, case management and supportive services.
“It’s an honor to serve the city’s older adult community with such an amazing array of services and programs,” said Eden Bailey, Older Adult Services Manager. “From wellness and fitness classes to technology resources, our team is dedicated to meeting people where they are and helping them thrive at every stage of aging.”
Key highlights of the report include:
- 7,440 community members enrolled in programs.
- Offered a total of 1,410 programs including 1,364 onsite and 46 online programs.
- Served 749 clients through case management and information/assistance services.
- OAS distributed over $100,000 to support basic needs including transportation, rental assistance, food insecurity and healthcare needs.
- 74 volunteers contributed 1,681 hours to support OAS programming.
In 2025, OAS launched a comprehensive technology education plan in collaboration with Senior Planet to empower older adults to utilize various technologies. In September, OAS will honor Falls Prevention Awareness Month by hosting creative and educational classes on fall prevention. Older adults interested in these or other fitness, wellness and lifelong learning opportunities can find current program offerings on the Let’s Age Well program guide website.
