Event will feature monologues and photovoice and video displays from participants about the impact of the city’s guaranteed income pilot project.

The City of Boulder and Motus Theater invite the community to join Elevate Boulder participants on Sunday, September 21 from 2 – 5 p.m. for an afternoon of storytelling about their experiences as part of the city’s guaranteed income pilot project.

This storytelling event will be held at the Dairy Arts Center at 2590 Walnut Street. While the event is free and open to the public, seating is limited and interested community members should RSVP at bit.ly/ElevateBoulder.

This event incorporates two storytelling activities:

  • 2 p.m. - Elevate Boulder Photovoice and Video Display
    • Engage with Elevate Boulder participants about their experiences and project impacts through photographs, video and collected objects, as part of storytelling activities coordinated by Erin Preston Productions.
  • 3 to 5 p.m. - Motus Theater Elevate Boulder Storytelling Project
    • Through monologues, participants will share experiences of the impact of Elevate Boulder, how it has strengthened our community and speak about the challenges of living on a low income.

This event was made possible through a grant for Elevate Boulder from the Community Foundation Boulder County. Additional participant storytelling activities will take place later this year.

The mission of Motus Theater is to create original theater to facilitate dialogue on critical issues of our time. Motus aims to use the power of art to build alliances across diverse segments of our community and country. Find more information at motustheater.org.
