HOP bus service frequency reduced due to driver shortages
The change is in effect on both the Clockwise and Counterclockwise routes and will be in place through Aug. 22
Effective immediately, frequency of the HOP bus service has been reduced to ensure service reliability in light of driver shortages. The HOP will operate at 25-minute frequency 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and at 45-minute frequency 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
The change is in effect on both the Clockwise and Counterclockwise routes and will be in place through Aug. 22, when service levels are expected to be adjusted in coordination with the University of Colorado Boulder’s fall semester.
The HOP bus previously operated at 15-minute frequency every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and at 20-minute frequency 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Updated timetables have been posted to the HOP webpage and arrival times have been updated in the Transit app.
The service reduction does not impact the HOP 2 Chautauqua event shuttle or Park to Park shuttle to Chautauqua.
The city contracts with Via Mobility Services to operate the HOP. For questions about HOP service and schedule information, contact Via at (303) 447-2948 or info@viacolorado.org
