Registering to Vote
Colorado does not have a registration deadline for voting.
If eligible and a new voter in Colorado, you can register and vote up to and including Election Day. However, if you would like to receive a ballot in the mail, the last day to register or change your registration mailing address is Monday, Oct. 28. After this date, if eligible, you can still register, including online, but you must visit a Vote Center in person to request a ballot, vote in person, or use the Ballot-to-Go service.
In order to register, you must:
- Be 18 years of age by election day
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have resided in Colorado 22 days prior to the election.
- Must not be serving a sentence of confinement or detention for a felony conviction (NOTE: Those on probation or parole ARE ELIGIBLE to vote.)
If registering and voting in person, ID is required.

Note on Where You Can Vote
While Colorado voters can vote anywhere in Colorado, if you are voting in a county outside of the county you are registered in, you will have to vote an "Official Statewide Ballot" which will only have statewide contests, such as president, statewide offices, and ballot measures.
